A funeral Mass will be said tomorrow for Matthew Stark Walsh of Roslindale and Milford, Conn., a civil engineer, who died Sunday in a sledding accident in Milford. He was 31.

Mr. Walsh graduated from Boston Latin School in 1980. He attended the US Coast Guard Academy and was a member of the Coast Guard Reserve. He received a degree in civil engineering in 1989 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

He was a civil engineer with Grenier Engineering Corp. of Wallingford, Conn., where he was involved in a project related to the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York.

Mr. Walsh leaves his wife, Molly (Godwin); his mother, Jean Carr of Roslindale; his father Edward F. of Natick; and two sisters, Amy Farrell of Hingham and Beth Anne Walsh of Roslindale.

The Mass will be at 10 a.m. in Holy Name Church in West Roxbury. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brighton.
